'Umang' generally means Happiness or Enthusiastic. Underprivileged children are deprived of happiness. 'Umang' is an initiative of ‘Wings’ to bring smile on their faces. We facilitate deprived children through creative activities and life skills development. To promote positive mental health and increase subjective well-being among destitute children we encourage their participation in recreational activities and teach them basic life skills.

  • Dance- We expose them to dance as dance therapy promotes self-awareness, self-esteem, and a safe space for the expression of feelings.
  • Music- conduct music/singing sessions to promote team work and build resilience.
  • Yoga- Homeless children have several behavioral and emotional problems. Yoga help reduce stress, stay in shape and calm the mind.
  • Art and craft - We conduct art and craft classes to engage children’s senses in open-ended play and supports the development of cognitive, social-emotional and multi sensory skills.
  • Festival celebrations - To help them understand and respect cultural differences and to enhance their sense of belonging in their nation.
  • To enhance the growth and develop the social and emotional skills among under privileged children by providing them life skills training which include topic like moral values, spoken English, health and personal hygiene, building confidence, cooperation, respect etc. and the list is keep increasing.
