'Umang' generally means 'Happiness or Enthusiastic'. Underprivileged children are deprived of happiness. 'Umang' is an inititaive to bring smile on their faces. We facilitate deprived children through creative activities and life skills development. To promote positive mental health and increase subjective well-being among destitute children we encourage their participation in recreational activities and teach them basic life skills.

  • Dance- We expose them to dance as dance therapy promotes self-awareness,, self-esteem and the safe space for expression of feelings.
  • Music- We conduct music/singing sessions to promote team work and build resilience.
  • Yoga- Disadvantage children have several behavioural and emotional issues. Yoga help reduce stress, stay in shape and calm the mind.
  • Art & Craft- We conduct art and craft classes to engage children's senses in open ended play and supports the development of cognitive, social-emotional and multi-sensory skills.
  • Festival Celebrations- To help them understand and respect cultural differences and to enhance their sense of belonging to their nation.
  • Life skills development-  To enhance the growth and develop the social and emotional skills among underprivileged children by providing them life skills training which include topic like moral values, personal hygiene, building confidence, cooperation, respect etc and the list is keep increasing.
  • Health- We make efforts to cater the health need of community people in every possible way we can like organising health check up camps.
